optacube is a Paris-based tech startup founded in 2025 to solve a deep, structural problem observed by its founders in complex manufacturing industries: the painful, inefficient way large businesses plan, manage, and make decisions on high-stakes product development projects.

We saw leaders spending endless hours, often late into the night, wrestling with massive spreadsheets updated by ten or more team members. Their time went into tedious manual work instead of what mattered most: strategic decision-making and driving faster execution.

This challenge defined the strategy–execution gap. There was a clear need for a financial cockpit, a digital companion to help teams adapt quickly to change. Yet, leaders were trapped in chaotic, spreadsheet-driven processes because there was no solution that was both easy to use and powerful enough to handle the complexities of large industrial programs.

The idea for optacube crystallized during the crises that reshaped manufacturing over the past five years — from COVID-19 to material shortages, global inflation, and shrinking margins. Each shock generated a flood of business cases where 100% accuracy was non-negotiable. Risking an entire business on a single #REF! or circular reference was no longer acceptable.

We asked ourselves a simple question:
In a world where modern, beautiful apps like Figma and Notion exist for everything else, why are companies still running their most critical financial decisions on technology from the 1980s?
